The VIIYD workbench

One person, one workbench

01 · In my own words

I started taking commissions in 2024. The reason was simple: my own army was finished, so a friend brought his case over.

I keep a slow pace, and I'm at my best with two kinds of jobs — a full army big enough to deserve its own proper slot, or something detailed enough to need a magnifier. Anything else is worth asking about too — depends how the schedule's looking, we can just talk it through.

A few honest notes up front, so we don't waste each other's time: if the deadline's tight, flag it early and we'll figure out the timing together. I hold off on quoting until I've seen real photos of the models — not being precious about it, just don't want to shortchange the work or you. Prices are pretty firm since the effort goes into the craft rather than the back-and-forth — the finished piece usually explains why. It's slow work. If that pace suits you, send a photo and we'll start there.

For army-scale work, a heads-up a month ahead helps me plan the time.
